Manual Lymphatic Drainage

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle manual technique that improves movement in the lymphatic pathways.

  • Base on the Vodder technique, using four strokes to stretch the lymph pathways increasing the flow of the fluid within.

  • MLD can be done daily and should be done at least once a week to maintain proper function.

  • The Lymphatic System is the waste management system of the body. If this system is slowed or even stopped it has a negative impact both physically and mentally. General side effects of MLD are: pain reduction, increased mobility, increased lymphatic flow, improves skin appearance and is soothing to nervous system.

Post Surgical Drainage

  • A continuation of Manual Lymphatic Drainage but applied and adjusted according to standards of practice when working with skin after surgical procedures.

  • The four Vodder strokes stretch the lymph pathways to increase the flow of the fluid within. Special care and technique is used to relax the inflamed cells, soften the connective tissues (AKA layers of your Skin), direct fluid towards intact pathways, and relives fibrotic tissues.

  • After most procedures, guests can get treatment within 24-48 hours after surgery, with a Doctor’s release.

  • PSD speeds up the healing process and reduces swelling. It helps to lower the fluid buildup, bruising, and fibrotic tissue formation. Post-Care is just as important as the surgery itself. Maybe, just a bit more.
